SUES Holds 3rd Preparatory Meeting for 2024 World University Championship Futsal

On the afternoon of April 8th, to smoothly advance the preparations for the 2024 World University Championship Futsal, SUES held its third preparatory meeting. Zhu Xiaoqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the university, attended the meeting. Heads of various working committees of the organizing committee also participated, with Li Yang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Physical Education, presiding over the meeting.

Zhu Xiaoqing expressed keen interest in the progress of the event's preparations. While acknowledging the efforts of each committee, she outlined specific requirements for various departments: The Comprehensive Coordination Department and the Competition Activities Department should promptly promote the coordination meeting in Songjiang District and coordinate with relevant departments in advance. The News and Publicity Department should finalize the publicity and live broadcast plans quickly to maintain the event's momentum. The Foreign Affairs Coordination Department should collect participant information early and actively liaise with the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office regarding visa matters for participating teams. The Large-scale Events Department should finalize the opening and closing ceremony and award ceremony plans according to the timeline. The Security Department should optimize security and traffic plans based on suggestions from the Songjiang Public Security Bureau and security companies, tailored to the actual needs of the event. The Venue Facilities Department should track the progress of the delivery and use of the venues, ensuring their normal operation. The Logistics Support Department should prepare medical, doping testing, water and electricity, and catering plans as well as emergency plans early on. The Market and Finance Department should coordinate efforts to secure more resources. The Volunteer Work Department should expedite volunteer recruitment and training, refining the volunteer work manual. The Competition Activities Department should strengthen communication with FISU and the NUSF to ensure the progress of competition work and safeguard more rights and interests.

The meeting also briefed on the latest information from FISU and NUSF. Heads of various working committees of the organizing committee reported on the overall progress of recent event preparations and the focus of the next steps, affirming their commitment to adhering strictly to the requirements of FISU and the spirit of SUES in preparing for the event.
