Brief Introduction to Federation of University Sports of China

FUSC, standing for Federation of University Sport of China and founded in 1975, is a member of International University Sports Federation (FISU) and Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF). FUSC is the sole legal and authorized organization to organize nationwide university sport championships and games in China.


Under the leadership of Ministry of Education in China, the full members of the FUSC are the associations of universities sports of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. Currently, FUSC has set up 36 branch organizations based on sports disciplines, including football, basketball, volleyball, athletics, skating, skiing and etc. to assist FUSC for the organization of competitions, trainings and academics.


Meanwhile, FUSC is taking an active part in international cooperation through participating in and hosting international university championships and games, such as Beijing 2001 Summer Universiade, Harbin 2009 Winter Universide and Shenzhen 2011 Summer Universiade. In the future, FUSC will continue to exert itself to advance national university sports movement and explore the opportunities of international cooperation with other countries or regions, in the hope to enhance the friendship among college students all over the world and make contribution to the cause of international university sports movement.
